Just received these awesome photographs back from Bryan Redding for this nice little project we completed last summer.
This month found us finishing the shell of the new fire house, thus competing our contract with the city. We look forward to seeing their project progress as they continue to build out the interior and develop the site on their own. It will be a much needed addition and upgrade for an all volunteer fire department that services a very large rural area and we have been very excited and grateful to play a small part in it.
Our guys have been making good progress through the brisk and windy days. All the frames and structural members are in place and wall panels are starting to go on. We will be looking at a roof before long.
The department chose Shadowall panels, which allow for an additional 2" of insulation verses a standard ribbed wall panel and has the benefit of fewer exposed fasteners.
When completed the apparatus bay will consist of 3 drive through bays.
The slab and foundation were poured right before the new year. We couldn't have asked for better conditions for the time of year, so thankful that the mild weather held out for us. It took a little over 200 yards of concrete to pour both the apparatus bay and the office area. With the awesome weather we were able to finish well ahead of schedule of the building's arrival just after the new year. Looking forward to seeing it go up!
What a way to start off the first week of the new year with the delivery of 20+ tons of new fire station. With the steel on the ground and the slab in place it won't be long to see the building taking shape.
Check out this awesome backyard storage building we just wrapped up. We often get the question " What's the smallest building you offer?" Well, this isn't it. The heavy earth moving on the site is complete and our guys have had some awesome weather to get a good start on digging the foundation and setting up the slab. If the weather holds we will be placing concrete next week.
